Hi, I would like to spruce up my coldwater tank and was just wondering if i can use ordinary
garden stones/rock. You know the bonnie large white ones and if i can what is the best way of preparing them
before putting in tank ?(apart from cleaning them obviously)

you can use any stones as long as you check they are not going to effect your PH first.

To check pour a little vinegar on them and check if they fizz. If they don't they are fine.

To prepare them just scrub them in plain water to remove anything then pour boiling water on them to kill bacteria Smile
